HYDERABAD, Feb 2: The Sindh Hari Committee has said that the rulers are destroying the agriculture sector of Sindh, the water of the River Indus is being stolen, and tens of thousands of acres of agricultural land of the province have turned into desert.

The leaders of the Sindh Hari Committee, Akbar Jatoi, Zamir Lashari, and Khaki Jatoi said this while talking to the people of Husri, Gaga Mori, Tando Mohammad Khan and other villages on Sunday.

They are trying to muster support for “Save Sindh Agriculture Movement”, which is being launched by the Sindhi Hari Committee from Feb 7.

They said that the prices of crops had been decreased and the sugarcane growers were being deprived of even the minimum price of cane fixed by the government.

They called upon the rural population to unite on the platform of the Sindh Hari Committee and make the “Save Sindh Agriculture Movement” a success as the shortage of water was a matter of life and death for all people.

BLACK DAY: The Sindh People’s Students Federation-SB activists observed a black day at the hostels of the Sindh University in Jamshoro on Sunday.

They were protesting against the delay in the dispensation of justice in Mir Murtaza Bhutto’s murder case.

Speaking on the occasion, the student leaders warned that if the Mir Murtaza Bhutto case was not decided immediately, their peaceful struggle could take a violent turn.
