In present times, Pakistanis perceive their lives increasingly at risk. This pervading sense of insecurity is revealed through findings in a Herald survey, indicating that people feel less secure in the cities that they live in and more concerned about security during religious processions and political rallies. An overwhelming majority perceives extremism in Pakistan as a problem.
