RIYADH, Jan 29: Saudi Arabia has urged the world community to explore all alternatives to war in order to resolve the Iraq crisis. Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal was believed to have stressed this point during a meeting with French President Jacques Chirac on Tuesday.

Although no official Saudi comment to the UN Inspectors’ report was available, this was the first Saudi reaction to the UN report on the disarmament of Iraq.—Correspondent
