KARACHI, Oct 9: Left-arm paceman Ali Raza claimed four for 48 as Pakistan Public Works Department (PWD) curtailed National Bank to a first innings score of 213 on the opening day of their Patron’s Trophy Grade-I fixture at Saga Ground in Sialkot Tuesday.

Ably supported by fellow pacers Nadeem Iqbal and Tanvir Ahmed, Ali Raza was chiefly responsible for the bankers’ collapse, says a message here.

Naumanullah (63) and the left-handed Qaiser Abbas (60) added 95 for the fourth wicket but once the partnership was broken, National Bank lost their last wickets for the addition of 40 more runs.

Naumanullah, a tall right-hander, was also involved in a third wicket stand worth 55 with Akhtar Sarfraz.

Mutahir Shah had an excellent day behind the timbers with a haul of six catches, three off Ali Raza.
