PTCL official arrested

TOBA TEK SINGH, Jan 28: City police arrested on Tuesday Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) Islamabad supervisor Chaudhry Afzal from Faisalabad anti-corruption court.

City police had registered a case four months ago against him on the complaint of Advocate Chaudhry Naeem.

The complainant had alleged that Afzal got his wife a job in the education department by giving a fake BA degree. Later, the service of his wife was terminated and a case was registered against both.

Afzal had filed bail before arrest application before an anti-corruption judge who rejected his plea and he was arrested.

new connections: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) will provide 9,000 connections to the applicants under one-window operation scheme in a minimum time period.

This was stated by PTCL divisional engineer Chaudhry Muhammad Akram while inaugurating the one-window camp on the Jhang Road here on Sunday.

He said similar camps had already been set up at Kamalia, Pirmahal, Rajana, Jhakhar, Gojra and Sindhilianwali.

ASSURANCE: Provincial Forest and Fisheries Minister Dr Ashfaqur Rehman has said that he will discuss with the Punjab chief minister to arrange the return of naalean mubarik from the UK.

Speaking at the ‘Azmat Naalean Mustafa Conference’ here on Saturday night in Jamia Mosque Akbari, he said it was a sensitive matter but the government would not show any slackness in this regard.

Alami Tanzeem Ahle Sunnah central chief Peer Muhammad Afzal Qadri said the movement for the recovery of naalean mubarik would continue.

Sahibzada Hameeduddin condemned the district administration for creating hurdles in the registration process of mosques and seminaries belonged to Ahle Sunnah sect.
