Caretaker ministers get portfolios
PESHAWAR, March 25: Caretaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Justice (r) Tariq Pervez Khan on Monday allocated portfolios to members of his cabinet.
A notification issued here said Fiaz Ahmad Khan Toru was given portfolio of home and tribal affairs, inter-provincial coordination, relief, rehabilitation and settlement; Dr Farrukh Seir health, population welfare, higher education, archives and libraries; Abdul Rauf Khan Khattak finance, planning and development, excise and taxation, local government, election and rural development; Yunis Marwat energy and power, irrigation and public health engineering; Mohammad Ishaq Khattak communication and works, transport, science and technology and information technology, Auqaf, Hajj, religious and minority affairs, and Mossarat Qadeem information public relations and culture, elementary and secondary education, Zakat, Ushr, social welfare and women empowerment.
Also, Umar Farooq Khan was allotted the portfolio of industries, commerce, technical education and manpower training, labour and housing; Jehangir Khan Tareen agriculture, livestock and cooperation, food, mines and mineral development, and Sameen Jan Babar sports, tourism, museums & archaeology, revenue & estate and environment.
The notification said rest of the departments and portfolios would remain with the caretaker chief minister.
