ISLAMABAD, March 8: Kuwait has relaxed its visa policy, allowing Pakistanis working in its public sector enterprises to take along their spouses and children without restrictions.

According to a decision announced on Friday, private sector employees could also be issued dependent visas as long as both the employee and his wife have valid resident visas of Kuwait. Male children up to 15 years of age and female children up to 18 years of age would qualify for dependent visas.

The Kuwaiti government had put a ban on all types of visas for Pakistanis, a decision which created serious problems for Pakistanis living there as they could not bring their wives to Kuwait.—Reporter
