KARACHI, Jan 23: Sindh minister for local government Mohammad Hussain questioned the devolution in Karachi on Thursday and said it should be re-examined whether the working of KDA, KBCA and KWSB was more effective and beneficial for the people before their devolution.
He said even after the implementation of the devolution plan, the development authorities still exist in Islamabad, Quetta, Lahore, Peshawar, Hyderabad and Sehwan, but the independent status of civic organizations in Karachi alone had been done away with.
Speaking at a briefing on defunct KDA at Civic Centre, the minister constituted a committee to conduct a probe into missing files. —PPI
