QUETTA, March 1: The Balochistan government has removed a member of the Balochistan Public Service Commission with immediate effect after finding that he has been convicted by an accountability court in a corruption case.
A spokesman for NAB said on Friday that the Accountability Court, Quetta, awarded sentence to Wahid Bakhas a few years ago and that the verdict was not withdrawn by the Balochistan High Court.
He said Wahid Bakhas was facing inquiry in another case of illegal appointments in the Balochistan Public Service Commission.—Staff Correspondent
