LAHORE, Feb 27: Valuables worth hundreds of thousands were reduced to ashes in three fire incidents in the city on Wednesday.

The cause of blaze in the incidents was reported to be a short circuit.

In the first incident, a fire broke out in an electronics shop on Hall Road, burning down goods worth hundreds of thousands.

Rescue 1122 firefighters managed to put out the blaze and saved the shops nearby from catching it.

Witnesses said traders of the plaza closed down their shops and rushed outside in panic.

Another fire erupted in the house of Dr Faheem in Sabzazar, gutting household items.

In the third incident, a confectionery caught fire in Lohari Gate.
