KARACHI, Jan 22: The Passport Circle of the FIA arrested on Wednesday an alleged human smuggler and as many as 90 blank visa stickers of the Saudi Consulate from him.
Deputy director of the FIA’s investigation arm Mohammed Malik told newsmen that Manzoor Hussain of Lahore was one of the major suppliers of fake visas and other travel documents to bogus recruiting agents.
He said the suspect was arrested by an FIA team, headed by Inspector Javed Mughul, on Tariq Road. The raiding party seized 13 passports, 90 visa stickers, a dozen stamps of the Saudi Consulate in Karachi, six stamps of Protector of Immigration and several passport endorsement stickers.
The FIA official said the suspect was operating his illegal business since 1992.
The suspect, who was produced before the newsmen, said he used to charge Rs12,000 for a Saudi visa.
He said he had so far sent over 30 people to the Saudi Arabia.
