Police and crime

Published February 19, 2013

TORTURE cases have become a norm in our society. Just recently, a death due to torture took place in police custody.

As reported in the press, there were eight police officials involved in the investigation, leading to the death of an innocent labourer.

These officials also contacted his widow to bribe her and ask her to remain mum about the incident.

The institution that is responsible for maintaining law and order and protecting citizens from criminals and murderers is itself involved in criminal activities.

This is why Pakistanis don’t trust their police officials because they themselves are corrupt and involved in murders, rapes and other criminal activities.

The police department so as to set an example for itself should take strict action against these criminals and murderers.
