It was thoughtful of pop band Laal to launch their second album, Utho Meri Duniya, at the Karachi Press Club last Sunday, and at the same time pay tribute to the young man Shahzeb who was murdered in Karachi sometime back.

The stage where the band performed had Shahzeb’s image in the backdrop. Utho Meri Duniya is taken from a famous poem by Allama Iqbal, and something which Laal are good at doing is that they compose verses of revolutionary poets. We hope this time round too they’ve done a good job with the compositions.
