Road accident involving US embassy car leaves one person dead

ISLAMABAD: A road accident involving a US embassy car in the federal capital has left one person dead and another in critical condition, DawnNews reported.

The US embassy car had hit a motorcycle in the Secretariat Police Station area of Islamabad. As a result, the motorcyclists were injured badly.

The victims, employees of Capital Development Authority, were taken to the Polyclinic Hospital. However, one of the injured men passed away. The driver of the vehicle was also injured in the accident.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Rehman Malik called up SSP Islamabad to get details regarding the accident. He further gave orders for the best possible care to be provided for the injured.

It must be noted that the car involved in the accident has been impounded.
