ISLAMABAD, Feb 11: The Senate Committee on Communications has decided to issue summons to top officials of the ministry of communications and the National Highway Authority (NHA) for their failure to attend a meeting of the committee on Monday.
The committee was to meet at the Parliament House but the meeting could not take place owing to absence of officials. It decided to issue summons to secretary ministry of communications, chairman NHA and other officials.
The committee asked the federal communications minister and other high officials to attend the next meeting and warned of disciplinary action if they failed to do so.
