With the Pakistan Railways (PR) short on funds, its police department has resorted to seeking donations from the US government for various projects.

The US has provided CCTV cameras and other security-related equipment.

Last year, the Rawalpindi Division of the Pakistan Railways asked PR headquarters to provide Rs10 million for the installation of closed-circuit TV cameras at the railway stations in Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Sargodha and Lalamusa.
