LONDON, Feb 7: The Bank of England voted on Thursday to freeze its key interest rate at a record-low 0.50 per cent and maintain the level of its quantitative easing cash stimulus.

The central bank said in an unexpectedly long statement that its Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) had voted to maintain its emergency QE stimulus at £375 billion.—AFP
