HYDERABAD, Jan 19: The University of Sindh authorities have announced classes of the 2003-2004 session will commence from Jan 23.
The university departments will hold orientation programmes for fresh students on the first day. The hostel allotment process will also be finalized before beginning of classes of the new session.
Lists of candidates, enrolled in various departments, have been provided by the director, admissions, to the departments and institutes of the university.
POSITION HOLDERS: The controller of examinations, University of Sindh, on Saturday announced the names of students, who have secured first positions in different examinations.
In the 2001 examinations of Social Sciences faculty, Tariq Ali, son of Ali Nawaz Khuhro, secured first position in BPA (honours); Shahzad Ali Memon, son of Qadir Bux Memon, in MPA (honours)’ and Shahida Kausar, daughter of Bashirul Haq, secured first position in MA, Pakistan Studies.
In the examinations of 2000, Nasreen Shaikh, daughter of Sher Mohammad Shaikh, secured first position in BA (honours) International Relations; Kamlesh Kumar, son of Partab Rai Asnani, in MA (honours) Economics; and Syed Naveed Shah, son of Mehtab Ali Shah, secured first position in MA, IR.
In the 2001 examinations of faculty of Arts, examinations of 2001, Nasim Amir, daughter of Amir Alam Qureshi, secured first position in BA (honours) Urdu; Sobia Kiran, daughter of Qazi Rashid Hasan Shaikh, in MA (honours) Urdu; and Saira Khan, daughter of Mohammad Mushtaq Khan, secured first position in MA, Urdu.
In the examinations of 2000, Sobia Kiran, daughter of Qazi Rashid Hassan Shaikh, secured first position in BA, (honours) Urdu; Nusrat, daughter of Aleemuddin Rajput, in MA (honours) Urdu; and Saharus Salam, daughter of Syed Jamal Hussain, secured first position in MA, Urdu.
