Man dies after inhaling fumes

ISLAMABAD, Feb 3: A 50-year-old man, owner of a road side restaurant, died on Sunday due to exposure to carbon monoxide fumes, in the limits of Shahzad Town Police Station.

According to the police, the restaurant owner belonged to the village of Malot and was owner of a restaurant in Bani Gala.

On Saturday night, he closed the restaurant late at night and then went into a nearby room to sleep.

He was using coal fire to keep himself warm, said police officials.

In the morning, when an employee reached the restaurant, he did not find the owner, which was unusual, so he went to the nearby room, where he found the owner dead.

Duty officer at the police station said that the dead body was shifted to the hospital, where it was confirmed that the restaurant owner died because of exposure to carbon monoxide fumes.

A report has been registered.
