LAHORE, Feb 2: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf leader Inamullah Khan Niazi has slated the Punjab government for “squandering public money”.
He threatened the Punjab information department secretary and a PML-N senator that he would expose them.
Addressing Senator Pervaiz Rashid and the information secretary, Mr Niazi said: “Get ready, I am coming after you.”
He declined to explain what he had in mind about any move against the PML-N.
Mr Niazi, who had left the PML-N and joined the PTI in December 2011, was speaking at a news conference organised for formal joining of PPP leader Khan Arif Khan from Shakargarh district at PTI Youth leader Ibrarul Haq’s residence in DHA on Saturday.
He alleged the PML-N senator was involved in misappropriation of billions. The two officials had also tried to slander the PTI leaders, he said.
He said the PTI workers would fight against corrupt rulers with “Tsunami tigers” and bring about a revolutionary change in the country. The PTI would give a tough time to all ruling parties.
“I know the worth of the PML-N when it is in government and when it is out of power,” he said.
Umer Sarfraz Cheema said the ruling parties had looted public money and allowed rampant corruption and had entered into a grand corruption alliance. He said the PPP and the PML-N had joined hands to install a caretaker government.
When contacted, Pervaiz Rashid said Niazi was welcome to move Supreme Court or file reference with NAB. —MANSOOR MALIK
