Hooliganism at Ayubia

Published February 1, 2013

I WANT to draw the attention of the public, especially those who intend to go to Murree and Ayubia in the winter season, to the situation there. In the first week of January, when I visited Ayubia and used a chair-lift, I was astonished to see that young boys who came there to enjoy the chilly weather were engaged in throwing snowballs on the people sitting in chair-lifts. These boys were particularly throwing snowballs on couples and girls.

It was a matter of disgrace on the part of our young generation. I don’t know that by doing this what kind of message we are giving to our local as well as foreign tourists.

If we will adopt this kind of attitude in these beautiful valleys, people, especially families, would stop visiting.
