KARACHI, Jan 29: Four ships carrying base oil and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Zante and UASC Ramadi were berthed at while Mol Direction, Cape Flores and AS Carelia sailed out.

Total cargo handled at Karachi Port on Tuesday amounted to 84,548 tons comprising of 36,228 tons of import and 48,320 tons of exports.

The following ships are expected to arrive at Karachi Port on Wednesday: Ginga Merlin with base oil, Santa Rufina with containers, Xing Fu Song with general cargo and Safina 2 with sugar and rice.

Port Qasim  KARACHI: Two ships, Akakai and Nedloyd Hudson carrying containers and furnace oil were allotted berth at Fotco Oil Terminal and Qasim International Containers Terminal during the last 24 hours, a PQA press release said on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, three more ships including Maersk Kalamata, Thesis and Norgas Innovation also arrived at anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

On Tuesday, Maersk Kalamata, Al Soor II, Mid Fighter, Norgas Innovation and Thesis occupied berths to load/ offload canola seed, diesel oil, palm oil, chemicals and cement oil respectively.

Total cargo handled at Port Qasim on Tuesday amounted to 35,383 tons comprising only of imports.
