Two PAF men, shopkeeper gunned down

QUETTA, Jan 28: Terrorists gunned down two Pakistan Air Force personnel and a shopkeeper in Pasni town in the district of Gwadar on Monday.

Informed sources told Dawn that PAF personnel were in a shop when gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire, killing them and the shopkeeper.The firing also left a man injured who was taken to local hospital.

The PAF personnel were identified as Muhammad Ibrahim of Skardu and Khurram Shahzad of Rawalpindi while the shopkeeper, Elahi Bakhsh, belonged to Mashkey. The injured was identified as Nabi Shah.

“The PAF personnel did not inform the local administration about their plan to go to Pasni Bazaar,” a senior police officer said. For that reason, he added, police could not arrange adequate security for them. Police and FC personnel took bodies of the PAF personnel and the injured to hospital.

Agencies add: The Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for the attack on the PAF personnel.
