Computer labProcessors, projectors, monitors and chairs,

The room is full of technical gears.

The walls are white and the furniture is grey,

And when I see the teacher,

I greet him and say, “Good day!”

My school’s computer lab is in the basement,And I love its arrangement.I learn there about Flash software,

And also play various games,One day, in the computer science world,

I will make for myself a big name!

HelpFumes in the air,Black smoke everywhere!Scream out loud, shed a tear,Nobody cares!Who has the time?Everyone’s so occupied,The needy, the hungryBeg for almsAll day long! What can be done?Help has yet to come.So wait and wait,From dawn to dusk,And dusk to dawn,Day and night,All day long,Forever and ever,Year after year;Until you breathe your last breath,Shed your last tear!

My familyMy familySits very calmly,They are very nice,And also very wise. They always give me what I want,For me they bought a pant,I love my family very much,And when they are not there I miss them so much.

My heartAlways in the mood of singing,Often in the mode of swinging.Sometimes it is great fun,Like the nice shining of the sun.Sometimes because of it come out tears,When there is something creating fear.Surely it remains full of cheer,When happy moments come near. So, from the dawn to the dusk,The clock of my heart continue ringing. In the love for Baluchistan,And for the loyalty to Pakistan.

I thank AllahNo dawn,No dusk,No air,Just nothing!So dark and silent,It might be,Without eyes and ears,That Allah has blessed us with!I thank Allah,For all these blessings!Faizan Aslam Soofi, 8 years, Lahore i

Rainbow coloursRed — it’s the colour of an apple,Orange — it’s the colour of an orange,Yellow — it’s the colour of a lemon,Green — it’s the colour of a tree,Blue — it’s the colour of the sky,Indigo — it’s the colour of my scarf,Violet — it’s the colour ofMy favourite vegetable, aubergine;When we put together all thesecolours,What do they make?Think carefully…Yes, they do make a rainbow,That appears on the skyAfter the beautiful rain!Hiba Yaseen,10 years, Karachi i

What if...?What if the sun was blue? What if a giant came after you? What if the sky was green? What if you had a horrible dream? What if the stars were pink? What if you had to drink ink? What if the water was brown? What if everyone wore a crown? What if the trees were yellow? What if the oceans were shallow? What if humans were purple?Like an extraterrestrial!Menahil Bokhari,13 years, Karachi i
