KASUR, Jan 26: Three passers-by were injured in an exchange of fire between two rival groups on Saturday in the Gohar Hithar village in the limits of Ganda Singh police.

Reportedly, the groups had a heated argument over an old enmity that led to a shootout between them. As a result, three passers-by, Abid, Liaquat and Muneer, sustained bullet injuries.

Rescue workers shifted the injured to DHQ Hospital in a critical condition.

ACCIDENT: A woman was killed while her husband and daughter injured in a road accident late on Friday on Deepalpur Road.

Ibrahim, along with his wife Zohra Bibi and daughter Samina was on his way to Ilahabad on a motorcycle from their village Bhagiana. Near Kot Saleem Haider, a mini-van hit their bike, killing Zohra Bibi on the spot and seriously injuring Ibrahim and Samina.

The injured were rushed to a local hospital. The driver of the mini-van fled from the scene.
