12 criminals arrested

ISLAMABAD, Jan 21:  Capital police, on Monday, busted three criminal gangs and arrested 12 culprits involved in theft, drug peddling and recovered looted items worth millions of rupees, said police officials.

A spokesman for the police said that the Bhara Kau police arrested three members of a gang from Kohisar Town, which led to the recovery of three 30-bore pistols and a 12-bore gun, along with ammunition.

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) also arrested five people who were members of a criminal gang. The gang was involved in multiple counts of robbery.

The culprits confessed that they were active in Aabpara, Tarnol, Koral, Shahzad Town, Industrial, Margalla and Shalimar areas.

Police stations — Ramana, Banigala and Shahzad Town — arrested three people separately and recovered 80grams of drugs and 15 bottles of wine. —Staff Reporter
