KARACHI, Jan 21: Mohammad Asif’s title-winning campaign at the snooker World Cup in Sofia, Bulgaria, has propelled Pakistan to attain top position in the men’s snooker rankings for the year 2012.

Asif became the world champion and his feat has now helped Pakistan leap from lowly eighth position to the top spot in the world with 172 points.

Iran moved two places up to second place with 144 points. England clinched third position with 142 points.—PPI
