Findings of Kamran Faisal case to be made public: Kaira

ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira on Monday assured that all the findings of the NAB investigator Kamran Faisal case would be made public without concealing anything.

“The judicial commission has already been constituted by the government headed by a senior retired judge and given two weeks to submit the report,” he said while speaking to the media outside Parliament House.

Kaira said that in the presence of an independent media and judiciary, nothing could be concealed.

The minister said if there was any evidence regarding Kamran Faisal, it should be shared with the commission.

He said a medical board had also been constituted by the government to carry out an autopsy. Kaira said medical reports of the deceased had been examined to remove any misunderstandings that were being created by some elements soon after his death.

"By killing officers, the investigation of a case cannot be manipulated, speculations should be avoided on sensitive issues," Kaira said.

To a question, he said, negotiations had been initiated with Tahirul Qadri according to the constitution after which the government accepted all of his constitutional demands.

To another question, he said imposing of governor rule in Balochistan was not an easy decision for the federal government, but had been done for the welfare of the masses.
