HYDERABAD, Jan 16: Vice Chief of the Army Staff Gen Mohammad Yusuf Khan on Thursday inaugurated the newly-developed Khipro Field Firing Ranges.
He performed the inauguration of the country’s largest field firing range while visiting the field formations in the desert sector of Sindh.
He was accompanied by the Corps Commander, Sindh, Lieut Gen Tariq Wasim Ghazi.
The vice chief of the army staff also witnessed the field firing and battle inoculation exercises.
While speaking to the troops participating in the exercises, he urged them to draw on the valuable experience gained during the escalation between Pakistan and India besides documenting all aspects of their recent experiences for future use.
Upon arrival, the vice chief of the army staff was received by the General Officer Commanding, Maj Gen Tariq Salim Malik.
Gen Mohammad Yusuf also addressed the commanding officers of the field units.
Highlighting the significance of command, VCOAS said that the regiments were as good or as bad as the quality of their commander. Leadership, he added, had always made the difference during peace and war.—APP
