Eight people killed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: Eight people have been killed in the metropolis within the space of half-an-hour in various acts of violence, DawnNews reported.

Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad has taken notice of the situation and has issued directives to the IG Sindh to deliver a report.

After relative peace during the day, several incidents of firing in Karachi erupted on Friday evening. Unknown gunman shot dead two brothers at Lasbela Pull. The bodies were later taken to Abassi Hospital.

The bodies of a boy and girl were found in a house in Defence Phase II after being shot to death. The police are reported to be conducting an investigation into the incident.

Two people were killed by unknown gunmen near Gurumandir. Two more people were shot dead in various incidents near Urdu Bazaar and Baldia Town.
