ISLAMABAD, Jan 10: Islam Bibi, 40, resident of Swat Valley and mother of two militants who were killed while fighting the army, is now searching for her third son.
According to Islam Bibi, the third son was 12 years old when he went missing, around two years ago.
Speaking to participants of National Peace Conference, organised by a non government organisation (NGO) PAIMAN, in a local hotel on Thursday, she claimed that her two sons were kidnapped by the Taliban before the Swat operation and later the militant organisation informed her that both sons were killed.
She said that because of the war in Swat, she migrated to Peshawar in 2009 and went back to Swat in 2010.
Within a few days of her return, the army raided the house and arrested the 12-year-old son, on the pretext that the boy could have links with militants.
“Two years have passed. I know that my son is in custody at a centre in Mingora but the army is not willing to release him.
It seems that I will lose all three sons because of the Taliban and the Army,” she said.—A Reporter
