RAWALPINDI, Jan 9:  Two days training of police officials in basic life support, first aid and fire safety orientation will start at Police College Sihala, on Thursday.

The purpose of this training is to develop professional approach of police officials in rescuing the victims of disaster.

The community training wing of Punjab Emergency Services Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi had scheduled two training courses for police officials.

The first session will start on Thursday, whereas second session will be on January 18 and 19.

A trained team, led by Deeba Shahnaz Akhter, will evaluate the performance of the police officials through written and practical evaluation.

The police officials will be trained in foreign body airway obstruction, cardio pulmonary resuscitation, management of medical and traumatic emergencies (wound management, fracture management, electric shock, snake bite and burn emergencies).
