KARACHI, Jan 15: The National Bank on Wednesday declared half- yearly rates of return ending on December 31, 2002, says a press release.

Following is the detail of the profits: Deposits

1. Special Notice Deposits: 7-29 days notice 3pc and over 30 days notice 4pc.

2. Saving Accounts 2.70pc.

3. Term Deposits: Three months 4.50pc; six months 5pc; one year 5.50pc; two years 5.70pc; three years 5.90pc; four years 6.10pc; five years 6.50pc; and above five years 7.50pc.

Special Notice Deposits: 7-29 days notice 4pc; 30 days and over 5pc.

Saving Deposits

Saving Accounts 7.50pc

Platinum Money Multiplier Accounts: On daily balances of Rs200,000 and above (when maintained during the whole month) 7pc.

If the balance goes below Rs200,000 on any day(s) during the month 4pc.

Platinum Super Multiplier Accounts: On daily balances of Rs500,000 and above (when maintained during the whole month) 8pc. If the balance goes below Rs500,000 on any day(s) during the month 5pc.

Platinum Heera Accounts: On daily balances from Rs50,000 to Rs4,999,999, 7pc. On daily balances of Rs5,000,000 and above 8pc.

Platinum Savings Plus Accounts: On minimum balance of the month provided it does not go below Rs100,000 7.50pc.

Platinum Extra Super Saver Plus Accounts: On daily balances of Rs1,000,000 and above (when maintained during the whole month) 10pc. If balance goes below Rs1,000,000 on any day(s) during the month. Then on all daily balances profit will be 6pc.

Platinum Heera Super Accounts: On minimum daily balances of Rs1,000,000 and above 9pc.

Platinum Supreme Accounts: On daily balances from Re1 to Rs4,999,999 7pc. On daily balances from Rs5,000,000 to Rs19,999,999 (if balance does not go below Rs5,000,000 on any day of the month) 11pc. On daily balances from Rs20,000,000 and above (if balance does not go below Rs20,000,000 on any day of the month) 12pc.

Term Deposits

1 month 6.50pc; 3 months 7.50pc; 6 months 8pc; 1 year 9pc; 2 years 9.50pc; 3 years 10pc; 4 years 10.50pc; and 5 years 11pc.

Platinum Deposit Growth Certificates 5 years & above 10.50pc.

Platinum Mahana Munafa Scheme - 3 years 9.50pc; 4 years 10pc; and 5 years 10.50pc
