LAHORE, Jan 5: A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking extradition of Dr Tahirul Qadri from Pakistan as, petitioner says, no foreign national can participate in political activities in the country.

Barrister Zafarullah Khan of Watan Party filed the petition at Lahore registry of the apex court, contending Dr Qadri started political activity in Pakistan, though being a Canadian national he could not do so.

The petitioner said Dr Qadri’s involvement in political activities amounted to sedition and being a foreign national he should be extradited from the country.
