LAHORE, Dec 24: As six of the 45 agreed upon buses for the metro service arrived on Monday, the Punjab government is likely to informally open the project on Tuesday (today) by conducting a test run on the track from Gajjumata to Kalma Chowk.
“As six buses of the total 45 have reached Lahore, there are 60 to 70 per cent chances of organising a test run of these on Tuesday evening on the dedicated bus corridor’s stretch from Gajjumata to Kalma Chowk after getting these checked and prepared in this regard,” LDA Director General Ahad Cheema told Dawn.
He said in case the authorities concerned completed the required technical work, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif would be requested to inaugurate the test run.
