LAHORE, Dec 18: The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) hosted a music evening at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club in collaboration with the Youth and Adventure Club Backpacker on Tuesday.

The music evening was a competition among amateur bands from various colleges and universities. The music gala titled Battle of Bands was attended by a large number of people from all walks of life.

The jury consisted of singer Waris Baig and classical singer Abdur Rauf, a teacher at the Alhamra Art Academy. Nine bands from the Government College University, Lahore Garrison University, Steps Institute of Design and Management, University of Lahore, Kinnaird College, National College of Arts, University of Management and Technology and the University of Punjab took part in the competition.

The first prize was Rs30,000, second Rs20,000 and third Rs15, 000. Rest of the participants will be given certificates and trophies. Results had not been announced when this story was filed on Tuesday evening.
