Policemen receive IT training

KARACHI, Dec 14: The Sindh police department has initiated an IT training programme for its district-level officers, and the employees facilitating the registration of computerised FIRs and close networking among all police stations in the province.

The graduation ceremony for the first batch of the trainees was held on Friday at the office of the Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari.

The trainees included inspectors, sub-inspectors, head constables and constables from the Sukkur region.

Speaking to the trainees during the ceremony, the additional inspector general of Sindh police, Ghulam Shabbir Shaikh, expressed the hope that the training would improve policing

standards and enable the policemen to play their role in the most upright manner.

He said that the training would strengthen the police department’s ability to improve the law and order situation, crime and terrorism through stringent vigilance.—APP
