ISLAMABAD: The SC Registrar will not appear before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) tomorrow, the Supreme Court said in an official statement on Thursday, DawnNews reported.

In the official statement, the Supreme Court statement said that the parliamentary body did not have the constitutional authority to scrutinise the apex court's accounts.

It said that Article 175-3 of the Constitution separates the judiciary from the executive, and that the PAC can only scrutinise national accounts.

The statement also said that after a full court meeting it was decided that Registrar Supreme Court of Pakistan Dr Faqir Hussain will not appear before the PAC.
