Network of cable operators sealed

LAHORE, Jan 10: The Lahore office of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority on Friday sealed the network of two cable operators in the city for showing banned Indian channels.

According to a press release of the authority, one cable operator in the Walled City and the other in the Ichhra area were found showing Indian movies. The regional office of the PEMRA along with local police and officials of the district administration raided their offices and sealed headends (gadgets transmitting the signals).

The police confiscated compact discs (CDs) of Indian movies and other banned material.
