LAHORE, Jan 10: Millat Party President Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari has demanded that the US should review its discriminatory registration laws for Pakistani immigrants as they could create differences between the people of two friendly countries.

In a press statement here on Friday, he said the people of Pakistan were opposed to fundamentalism and terrorism and should not be subjected to discriminatory laws.

Mr Leghari, who is also former president of the country, recalled the role Pakistan had played along with the US to defeat the Soviet Union in Afghanistan and improving Sino-US relations. He said laws being applied to Pakistani immigrants in the US could adversely affect the Pakistan-US ties.
