Minister working for candidate

DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jan 10: Maqsood Khan Leghari, a rival of Millat Party chief Farooq Khan Leghari, has sent a telegram to the Chief Election Commissioner about the alleged interference of Federal Telecommunication Minister Awais Khan Leghari in the electioneering of MP candidate for the by-election.

He said the federal minister should leave the district immediately because he was steering the electioneering of Mohsin Leghari, s/o Col Rafiq Leghari. Awais Leghari is currently in the district.

District Nazim Haji Jamal Khan Leghari is also allegedly involved in the electioneering of Millat party candidate as he is conducting public meetings in the tribal area of Dera Ghazi Khan in wake. The seat was vacated by Millat Party chief Farooq Leghari

Meanwhile, the RO of PP-245 has summoned the tehsil Nazim of Dera Ghazi Khan and Jamadar, Border Military Police, on an application of independent candidate.

Hussain Leghari (ind), lodging the complaint with returning officer Salahudin, said that district and tehsil administration besides officers of the BMP were steering the electioneering of MPs’ Mohsin Leghari.—Correspondent
