Disgruntled Baloch youths offered government jobs

QUETTA, Nov 28: A high-level meeting presided over by Balochistan Governor Zulfiqar Magsi here on Wednesday offered jobs to the disgruntled Baloch youths if they came down from mountains and stopped armed movement against the state.

The meeting of the Apex Committee reviewed the law and order situation and took decisions aimed at improving security in the province.

Special incentives, including government jobs and financial assistance, would be given to those Baloch youths who came down from mountains and surrendered arms, it was decided.

Chief Minister Aslam Raisani, Commander of Southern Command Lt-Gen Mohammad Aalam Khattak, Chief Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Mohammad, Inspector General of Frontier Corps Maj-Gen Obaidullah Khan, IGP Tariq Omar Khatab, Home Secretary Capt (retd) Akbar Hussain Durrani and other senior officials attended the meeting.

The meeting also decided that the government would play its role in resolving tribal disputes in the province.
