ABBOTTABAD, Jan 8: The butchers in the city are slaughtering the animals in their shops and other residential areas instead of the slaughter house.

The sanitary inspectors and health department officials were not performing their duties properly as people say that the meat sold in the market was unhealthy.

According to the rules only that meat can be sold which carry a stamp by a health department doctor declaring it safe for use.
