ISLAMABAD, Nov 19: MNA Abdul Qadir Gilani, son of former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, has expressed dissatisfaction over the proceedings of the National Assembly’s Privileges Committee held on Monday.

The committee, headed by Abdul Ghafoor Chaudhry, had met to discuss the notices issued by the FIA to the Gilanis in connection with the 2010 Haj scam.

After commencing its business over an hour behind the schedule, senior members of the committee and the special invitee, Religious Affairs Minister Syed Khursheed Shah, decided to convert the meeting into an in-camera sitting.

FIA Director General Anwar Virk was asked to leave the room along with his team, including Hussain Asghar, the senior official who has been pursuing the case. Later, the chairman asked the journalists to leave.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, Mr Qadir said: “Not much has been achieved and another sitting has been called for Wednesday. I am not satisfied.”
