GUJAR KHAN, Nov 18: As elections approach, PPP and PML-Q continue to warm up to each other and criticise the PML-N.

Raja Mohammad Basharat, adviser to the prime minister and leader of the PML-Q, while talking to newsmen on Sunday said corruption of the local administration in the revenue department had exposed the corruption of the PML-N.

Mr Raja criticised PML-N for not being able to reform the police or revenue system, which directly affected the common man.

While on the other hand, he praised the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).

He added that PPP was equally popular among all the provinces of the country and it was a uniting factor that had the ability to maintain provincial harmony.

He said that this was the reason that PML-Q joined hands with PPP and during the next elections PML-Q as a united coalition partner of PPP would defeat PML-N in Punjab.

Raja Mohammad Basharat also lauded President Asif Ali Zardari and Raja Pervez Ashraf,  terming the leaders pragmatic and seasoned in the art of politics.

Tall claims of good governance in Punjab have all proved false, according to Mr Basharat, as unprecedented corruption in the revenue department, involving patwaris and tehsildars had exposed the corrupt practices of the PML-N.

On the other hand, all the public-friendly projects initiated by former chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, were initially dumped but later restarted, he said.
