LAHORE, Nov 15: The Lahore High Court’s Administration Committee headed by the chief justice has taken different decisions about judges of lower courts, including regularisation of services, termination and disciplinary proceedings.
A release issued by the LHC registrar on Thursday stated that the committee terminated a civil judge of Faisalabad, Ms. Kalsoom Mustafa.
The committee issued final show-cause notice for imposition of major penalty of removal from service to civil judge/OSD, civil court, Lahore, Gulzar Husain. The committee, however, abated disciplinary proceedings against retired district and sessions judge Javed Nawaz Chaudhry.
The committee ordered disciplinary proceedings against district and sessions judge (D&SJ) Muhammad Amjad Pervez, additional district and sessions judge (AD&SJ), Khanewal, Khizar Hayat Gondal, and civil judge, Nankana Sahib, Muzaffar Husain.
It deferred cases of civil judges Syed Ali Waqas Bokhari and Sherbaz Khan for confirmation and allowed them 5th (Special) chance to clear their departmental examination.
The committee confirmed services of 13 AD&SJs. They include Muhammad Akram, Waseemur Rehman Khan Khakwani, Muhammad Yar Gondal, Amjad Nazir Chaudhry, Muhammad Naveed Iqbal, Muhammad Asghar Khan, Muhammad Shabbir, Syed Dawar Zafar Ali, Naseem Ahmad Virk, Asad Ali, Tariq Mahmood Bajwa, Tariq Javed and Nasir Husain.
Cases of four AD&SJs for confirmation were deferred by the committee. They are Bakht Fakhar Bahzad, Muhammad Husain, Atiqur Rehman and Wajahat Hassan.
The committee also confirmed services of 49 civil judges-cum-judicial magistrates. They are Qaiser Husain Mari, Naveed Abbas, Muhammad Ziaur Rehman, Saifullah Babur Janjiana, Muhammad Abdul Sattar, Muhammad Zaigham, Abdul Sattar, Ms. Amber Gul Khan, Muhammad Jamshed, Ms. Shazia Munawar, Muhammad Asim Shafiq, Muhammad Shahid Iqbal, Asif Iqbal, Zaheer Ahmad, Muhammad Azhar Qayyum, Adnan Anjum, Nasar Mahmood Gondal, Javed Iqbal, Ms. Aneela Saeed, Sahib Gull Khan Baloch, Ms. Zaira Manzoor Malik, Muhammad Imran Khan, Ms. Shazia Mehboob, Muhammad Ajmal Khan, Faizullah, Mian Ijaz Ahmad, Mubarak Ali, Umar Draz Heri, Muhammad Tayyab Ishaq, Mohsin Ali, Muhammad Tariq Khan, Farooq Ahmad, Zulfiqar Ahmad, Shaukat Abbas, Sajid Mahmood, Zaman Ali Ranjha, Ghulam Mustafa Yazdani, Kashif Rasheed Khan Bangash, Sardar Naveed Ahmad, Kashif Iftikhar, Muhammad Umar Farooq, Tariq Mahmood Kahut, Imran Yaqub, Ms. Sadaf Liaquat, Ms. Nibza, Ms. Uzma Ahsan, Ms. Nadia Mushtaq, Ms. Nazia Rashid and Ms. Mehrun Nisa-II.
