WASHINGTON, Nov 9: Two Pakistani men have been charged with operating Internet sites that illegally shipped drugs from Pakistan and the United Kingdom to customers in the United States.

The two were arrested on Oct 19 in London.

Sheikh Waseem and Tahir Saeed were indicted on Tuesday by a federal grand jury in Washington, The Washington Post reported.

The indictment charges that beginning in 2005, the pair illegally shipped pharmaceuticals to the US and elsewhere. The US purchases totalled about $780,000.

It was not immediately clear if they had attorneys.
