Cellphones and children

Published November 9, 2012

THE advancement in technology has revolutionised the world. The things which were out of reach have now become easier to buy.

A cellphone is one of the products of these technologies. Different companies have launched their phones for all classes ranging from lower to higher-income groups. The usage of cellphones due to their cheaper prices has become common in our society. For adults, it is acceptable, but for children it is a waste of time and monev. It also distracts their attention which results in loss of education. This also leads to other undesirable activities.

Moreover, the use of cellphone has increased the menace of cheating during school and college examinations. If, according to parents, the reason of providing a cellphone to their child is safety, I just want to ask parents why don’t they ask their children to go to the reception and make a phone call from their school in case of an emergency?

Although cellphones have been banned in many schools, but children still bring them. They should not get cellphones at an early age.
