Tevta staff seeks pay raise

FATEHJANG, Nov 5: The employees of Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) have been working on a contract basis for the past 13 years.

They said they had not been given any raise in salaries since 2003. The employees said they were paid Rs10,000 a month and no other benefits such as conveyance allowance or ad hoc relief.

They said they held diplomas in electrical, mechanical engineering and information technology. It is surprising that the Punjab government has been ignoring us, they complained.—Correspondent
