KARACHI: Competitions for schools

KARACHI, Jan 4: The district office of the secondary and higher secondary education (male), city government, has chalked out a week-long programme of essay writing, quiz competition, debates, painting and science exhibition, starting from Jan 7 to 13.

According to the schedule, the essay-writing competition will be held on Jan 7 at the Pakland Government Boys Secondary School; Quiz competition and debates at the Major Ziauddin Abbasi Government Boys Secondary School on Jan 8 and 9, respectively; Painting and poster exhibition at the Evershine Government Boys Secondary School, Kala Board, Malir, on Jan 11, and the science exhibition will be organized at the NJV Boys Higher Secondary School on Jan 13. The activities will begin at 9am on the specified dates.

Urdu, Sindhi and English languages debates would be held on the “Role of Students in Raising the Standard of Education”, District Officer Education, Mohammad Hanif, said while adding that the topic for the essay would be, “ The importance of computer in educational institutions”.—PPI
